❄️ Off-season & winter work
Build a base in the off months — strength, mechanics, and volume.
Beginner
- Drop-and-Dash: Swing-Finish to Sprint Home-to-First Burst
An at-home, phone-timed baserunning drill that trains the wasted moment most runners lose: the transition from swing finish to the first explosive steps out of the box. Using only a bat (or broomstick), a phone stopwatch, and a driveway or yard, players rehearse dropping the barrel and clearing the box in a straight, low-driving line so their home-to-first time drops.

Intermediate
- Beat the Box: Head-to-Head Home-to-First Sprint Bracket
A small-sided racing game where runners go head-to-head out of the batter's box to first base on a contact trigger, timed each rep and seeded into a win-or-move-on bracket so competition pulls out faster home-to-first times.

Advanced
- First to Third Baserunning Drill: Read & Angle
An advanced live-read baserunning drill that trains runners on first to read the outfielder, pick up the third-base coach, and take an efficient banana angle to advance from first to third on singles.
BaserunningIn-seasonOff-season - Resisted-Assisted 60 Contrast Sprint Ladder
A contrast-training method that pairs heavy resisted (overload) 60-yard sprints with assisted overspeed (underload) reps, then a clean unloaded 60, so the athlete overloads force production and immediately expresses it at faster-than-normal turnover to drop their 60-yard dash time.
