Field Under the Tee: A Low-Hands Ground-Ball Constraint Drill
An infield ground-ball drill that turns a batting tee into a constraint: set the cup at knee height in the fielding path and field every ball with the glove passing UNDER it. Knock the tee and it is a fault rep, so hands stay low and out front and balls stop kicking off the heel of the glove.
⏱ ~15 min📋 4 sets of 8-10 ground balls (mix of straight-on, forehand, and backhand). Any rep that knocks the tee resets and does not count.
What you'll need
- Adjustable batting tee
- Second batting tee (optional, for forehand/backhand gate and tunnel)
- Infield glove
- Baseballs or softballs (safety/foam balls recommended for tight spaces or younger players)
- Bucket of balls
- Wall (optional, for solo rebound reps)
