Checkpoint-Chain Positional Velocity Ladder: Add One Link at a Time to Build Fastball Velo
A reverse-chaining positional throwing ladder for pitchers. Start throwing from the checkpoint closest to release, then add one earlier segment of the delivery each round, using a radar to prove every added 'link' adds fastball velocity and to expose the segment that leaks energy.
⏱ ~20 min📋 1 baseline set (2-3 throws) + 4 checkpoint stages x 3-5 max-intent throws each (about 14-23 total throws). Run 1 full ladder; advanced arms up to 2 ladders with full rest.
What you'll need
- Radar device (Pocket Radar, Stalker, or Rapsodo/Trackman)
- Mound or flat-ground throwing lane
- Bucket of 6-10 game balls
- Throwing partner or net/target at regulation distance
- Log sheet or phone to record each checkpoint number
